Anaheim Is Tthe Tenth Most Populated City In California

Anaheim is a city that is located in California that in 2009 had a population of nearly 350,000 which makes it the tenth most populated city in California that ranks fifty fourth in the US. It is anticipated that the city’s population will exceed 400,000 by the year 2014 as a result of the rapid development in Anaheim hills and the Platinum Triangle area. Anaheim is the second most populated city in California and second largest in terms of land area. Anaheim is known for its convention center and theme parks.

Anaheim was founded by 50 German families in 1857 and incorporated in 1870. Anaheim was developed into an industrial center that produced canned fruit, aircraft parts, and electronics. Anaheim is the site of the Disneyland Resort, which contains world famous hotels and theme parks that opened in 1955. Anaheim is also home to the Anaheim Convention Center, which is the west coast’s largest convention center, the Honda Center, and the Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Anaheim’s city limits stretch from the Riverside County Line in the east to Cypress in the west and encompasses a diverse collection of communities and neighborhoods. Anaheim Hills is a community that was master planned and located in the cities in the east and is home to many executives and sports stars. Anaheim’s downtown has a mixture of historic districts, the largest of which is the Anaheim Colony that is home to the Anaheim White House restaurant.

The Anaheim Resort includes numerous commercial ventures such as retail complexes, hotels, and is also home to Disneyland. The Platinum Triangle is a new urban redevelopment that surrounds Angel Stadium and is planned to have high rises and streets for mixed usage. Finally, The Canyon is an industrial district that is located east of the Orange Freeway and north of Interstate 91.

Anaheim Resort includes the Angel Stadium which is the home to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the Honda Center which is the home to the NHL Anaheim Ducks, Anaheim’s Convention Center, and the Disneyland Resort. Anaheim has undergone a massive metropolitan beautification program for the purpose of tourist attraction. Anaheim recently celebrated its sesquicentennial by conducting the Anaheim Walk of Fame near the Disney Resort. The first star to be placed there was Walt Disney, who was the person most responsible for making Anaheim the hugely popular tourist attraction that it is today.
